Lightning Roulette — the RTP, derived
The derivation (what must be true)
Base game, straight-up: EV₀ = (1/37)(29) − (36/37) = −7/37 ≈ −0.1892. For the advertised total EV of −0.029, the multiplier layer must contribute EVₘ = 0.1892 − 0.029 = 0.1602 per unit. With hit chance 1/37, that means the average bonus over the 29:1 base on struck numbers must be ≈ 5.93 units — i.e., across the 50–500× distribution, weighted frequency has to average out precisely there. The operator doesn’t publish the distribution; the constraint above is what any honest distribution must satisfy — and that’s the strongest statement anyone outside the provider can make. Sites quoting “real RTP 81%” are ignoring the multipliers entirely; sites quoting “same as European” are ignoring the payout cut. Both are wrong in opposite directions.
What you’re actually buying
A straight-up’s standard deviation jumps from 5.8 to (multiplier-dependent) several times that — longer droughts, rarer thunderbolts. Even-money players are untouched: same 2.70% as any European wheel, minus la partage. If the 500× dream is the product you want, price it as a lottery ticket; if you want cheap roulette, it’s the French table.
